Mr. David H. Brett, President and CEO, Pacific Bay Minerals Ltd. (TSX
VENTURE:PBM) (the "Company" or "Pacific Bay") reports that a recently completed
VLF-EM/Mag Airborne Geophysical survey on its 100% optioned Haskins-Reed
property near Cassiar in northern BC (the "Property") has outlined an extensive
new magnetic anomaly paralleling historically outlined mineralization.


This and other anomalies outlined by the airborne survey can be viewed on the
Company's web site at www.pacificbayminerals.com. Also, a new 43-101 compliant
technical report reviewing the Property's history and mineral potential,
including its historic drill data and resource calculations, is now available on
www.sedar.com, as well as the Company's web site.


Approximately 3.5 KM long, the magnetic anomaly area runs NW by SE,
approximately 1 KM northeast of a structural trend, hosting the Joe Reed, Mount
Reed, Brett, Dako and Cobra zones, which host polymetalic skarn-type
mineralization zones of various types and sizes. The new area of interest hosts
the Luna showing, recorded in the Provincial mineral occurrence database, but is
otherwise unknown to the Company. The Company plans to immediately investigate
this new area of interest on the ground.
