Linamar Corporation (TSX:LNR) announced today that Steve Shaughnessy has been
appointed President of Skyjack Inc., a Linamar subsidiary. Shaughnessy, an
equipment industry veteran with more than 30 years experience in the aerialift
and crane business, will be succeeding Ken McDougall, who has been given the
responsibility for running Linamar's Powertrain Mexico operations.


Shaughnessy brings with him executive leadership experience from some of the
worlds largest rental businesses in both the US and Europe, including Loxam, NES
and Ashtead Plant Hive. He is currently a Board Member and Deputy President of
the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF), the leading association for
the promotion of the safe and effective use of aerial work platforms throughout
the world.
