Students, Teachers, School Administration, Community Leaders
and Jumpstart Participate in International Walk to School
Day
TORONTO,
Oct. 8, 2013 /CNW/ - In line with its
goal of getting more kids active and playing, Canadian Tire
Jumpstart Charities will outfit the Warren Park Junior School -
including its over 200 students, teachers and administrative staff
- with new Nike running shoes.
In addition to marking International Walk to School Day on
October 9th, the donation
also comes days before Warren Park's
cross country running team participates in the Canadian Tire Run
for Playgrounds in High Park. Jumpstart Charities is also covering
the costs of registering and transporting the school's team to the
run.
Supported by the Canadian Tire Family of Companies, which
includes Canadian Tire, PartSource, Gas+, Sport Chek, Atmosphere,
Mark's and Canadian Tire Financial Services, Jumpstart has helped
more than 600,000 Canadian kids get in the game since 2005.
