                                 CHANGE OF NAME

The Company announces that all the resolutions proposed at today's Extraordinary
General Meeting were unanimously passed and accordingly the Company's name has
today been changed to PATAGONIA GOLD PLC. The new ticker code for the Company
will be PGD.
Shareholders should note that existing share certificates in the name of HPD
Exploration Plc will continue to remain valid.
