Passenger traffic
In February 2010, passenger traffic at Aéroports de Paris
(Paris:ADP) (Pink Sheets:AEOPF) decreased by 1.0% compared with
February 2009. Paris airports handled a total of 5.5 million
passengers divided up between 3.8 million for Paris-Charles de
Gaulle (+0.1%) and 1.7 million for Paris-Orly (-3.3%). From
February 1st to February 22nd, traffic recorded a 1.1% increase. It
was then affected by bad weather conditions and several strikes
(air traffic controller-DGAC strike and pilot strikes).
- International traffic (excluding
Europe) increased by 0.5% boosted by the growth on African (+2.3%)
and Middle Eastern (+8.4%) routes. Traffic with North America,
Latin America and Asia dropped respectively by 3.1%, 2.3% and
2.1%.
- European traffic (excluding
France) stood at -1.2%. Traffic within the Schengen area decreased
by 0.8% and traffic with Great Britain and Ireland dropped by
4.9%.
- Domestic traffic fell by
6.6%.
- The number of connecting
passengers dropped by 3.6% in February 2010 compared with February
2009, coming in at 23.3% (against 24.1% in February 2009).
For the first two months of the year, passenger traffic
decreased by 0.5%. For the same period, the number of connecting
passengers decreased by 2.4% resulting in a connecting rate of
25.1% (against 25.7% for the first two months of 2009).

direct transfer passengers). Switzerland joined the Schengen area
on 1 April 2009.
Aircraft movements
The number of aircraft movements dropped by 7.8% in February
2010 year on year (with -7.4% at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and -8.7%
at Paris-Orly). For the first two months of the year, the number of
aircraft movements fell by 6.7%.
