Zoetis Inc. (NYSE:ZTS) today announced that it has been named

for Working Mothers" list for the second consecutive year. The
publication selects the top 100 companies in the U.S. that have
demonstrated their commitment to progressive workplace programs
such as flexibility, advancement, paid family leave and
childcare.
“Zoetis is honored to once again be named one of Working Mother
magazine’s top ten companies for working moms,” said Roxanne
Lagano, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer
at Zoetis. “Zoetis is committed to cultivating an environment where
everyone can balance their work and life responsibilities. We are
proud to be recognized for our leadership in establishing policies,
programs and a corporate culture that supports not only working
mothers, but all colleagues.”
Zoetis ranked highly by Working Mother for its benefits and
work-life programs, health and wellness offerings, back-up child
care, employee discounts, paid time off, leaves of absence,
adoption assistance and tuition aid programs. Zoetis was also
acknowledged for its Women’s Council networking group in the U.S.,
a grass-roots organization of approximately 500 members who share
best practices on issues such as work-life balance and financial
planning for families.
“As we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Working Mother’s 100
Best Companies, we are keen to recognize leaders who have built
initiatives that truly support all employees. They are the vanguard
of successful companies, with policies that matter to American
families,” said Subha Barry, Vice President, General Manager,
Working Mother Media.
Raksha Tiwari Named Working Mother of the Year for
Zoetis
Zoetis will be recognized at the Working Mother 100 Best
Companies Gala Awards Dinner on Oct. 15th at the Marriott Marquis
in New York City. The event is part of the Work Life Congress
annual conference held from Oct.14-15.
Raksha Tiwari, senior principal scientist at the Zoetis Research
& Development headquarters in Kalamazoo, Mich., will be
recognized at the event as the Zoetis 2015 Working Mother of the
Year. Ms. Tiwari joined Zoetis in 2008 and has made significant
contributions to the development of the company’s animal health
solutions that serve both veterinarians and livestock
producers.
“When I joined Zoetis I was seven months pregnant, and my
manager offered me a flexible work schedule, which helped me to
excel at work while balancing a new baby at home,” said Ms. Tiwari.
“I also felt fortunate to be with a company that allowed me to
pursue a career as a research scientist and explore several
different therapeutic areas of interest to me. Because of these
opportunities, I worked on a range of projects from the early
stages of research to the later stages of product development and
approval. I was able to grow professionally -- and personally with
my family -- while making an impact on the company and the animal
health industry.”
Ms. Tiwari now has two daughters, ages seven and three. “Zoetis
allows me to be there when they need me,” she said. “I hope to
continue shaping the supportive culture for working mothers at
Zoetis.”
Working Mother magazine will feature profiles on both Zoetis and
Ms. Tiwari in the October/November issue and online today at
workingmother.com. The complete list of Working Mother’s 2015 100
Best Companies can be found here.
