Walmart Inc. said it launched a private-brand analog insulin, with Novo Nordisk A/S-made insulin aspart injections available in the retail giant's pharmacies this week.

The injections are available through Walmart's private ReliOn brand, with analog insulin vials retailing at $72.88 and FlexPen at $85.88, the company said Tuesday.

The insulin aspart injection will be available in Sam's Club pharmacies in mid-July across the U.S., Walmart said. Customers will need a prescription to buy the products, the company said.
