U.S. Bank is being recognized for the contributions and
achievements of its Proud to Serve Business Resource Group. Proud
to Serve has been named one of the Top 25 U.S. Employee Resource
Groups for 2015 by the Association of Employee Resource Groups
(ERGs) & Councils.
U.S. Bank will be recognized during the Seventh Annual Honors
Award Dinner on Oct. 14 at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center Hotel
in Virginia. U.S. Bank was one of 538 resource groups and diversity
councils that applied.
U.S. Bank honors and supports the men and women of the U.S.
military through its Proud to Serve group. This group, established
in 2008, focuses on hiring and supporting veterans and members of
military families throughout their U.S. Bank careers. Proud to
Serve has a far-reaching positive impact that also touches its
68,000 employees and the veterans and military families in the
communities the bank serves. Proud to Serve is open to all
employees at U.S. Bank.
“It is a great honor to be recognized for our efforts to help
make U.S. Bank a welcoming place for veterans to work,” said
Richard Davis, chairman, president and chief executive officer of
U.S. Bank. “Our Proud to Serve group provides a variety of
effective resources for veterans in the areas of recruiting,
employee engagement, professional and business development, and
community involvement. It’s rewarding to provide these resources to
people who have served our country and helped protect our
freedom.”
"The fact that U.S. Bank placed among the top 25 recipients in
the first application attempt speaks to the impact that Proud to
Serve is having," said Linda Stokes, president and chief executive
officer of PRISM International, Inc., and the Association of ERGs
& Councils.
