United Parcel Service Inc. company Ware2Go said Friday it would
"offset carbon emissions for all small parcel, LTL, FTL, and air
shipments within their network."
Ware2Go said all clients will be automatically enrolled in the
program at no cost and also said, "the program will retroactively
offset all shipments made since January 2021."
Patrick Cadic, chief revenue officer of Ware2Go, said, "Our
priority was to make our Carbon Offset Shipping Network easy to
adopt and simply part of doing business with Ware2Go. That's why
we've chosen to fully fund the initiative and to automatically
enroll all of our current and future clients so they can extend
their sustainability efforts all the way to their customers'
doorsteps."
Ware2Go said it would work with Pachama, a company using
satellite imaging and artificial intelligence to measure carbon
captured in forests, to "participate in a variety of carbon offset
programs, from reforestation to old growth forest conservation, in
order to make the maximum impact."
