NEW YORK, Aug. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Care Capital
Properties Inc. (NYSE:CCPwi) will replace Omnicare Inc. (NYSE:OCR)
in the S&P MidCap 400 after the close of trading on
Monday, August 17. S&P 500
constituent Ventas Inc. (NYSE:VTR) is spinning off Care Capital
Properties in a transaction expected to be competed on that date.
Omnicare is being acquired by S&P 100 & 500 constituent CVS
Health Corp. (NYSE:CVS) in a deal expected to be completed on
August 18.
Care Capital Properties owns, acquires and leases skilled
nursing facilities and other healthcare assets. Headquartered
in Chicago, IL, the company will
be added to the S&P MidCap 400 GICS (Global Industry
Classification Standard) Health Care REITs Sub-Industry index.
