A Hong Kong anticorruption body charged a former executive at
JPMorgan Chase & Co. with bribery, saying she bribed the
chairman of a logistics company by offering to employ his son at
the bank.
The city's antigraft watchdog said Catherine Leung Kar-cheung, a
former managing director who worked at the bank's Asia-Pacific
securities arm, made the employment offer in connection with an
initial public offering of the logistics company. The Independent
Commission Against Corruption said Ms. Leung has been released on
bail and is due in court on Monday.
Ms. Leung had served as vice chairwoman of Asia investment
banking at J.P. Morgan.
