N.Y. Jury Delivers $25 Million Judgment Against Johnson & Johnson -- Bloomberg
May 21 2019 - 1:41PM
Dow Jones News
-- A New York jury said Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) must pay $25
to a woman who claims she got cancer by using the company's
products, Bloomberg reports Tuesday.
-- The woman alleged she got a rare type of cancer, linked to
asbestos, from some of the company's products which contain talc,
the report said.
-- The $25 million is for compensatory damages, and the jury
will reconvene next week to consider a punitive penalty, the report
said.
-- Johnson & Johnson has denied all allegations its baby
powder contained asbestos. The company didn't immediately respond
to a request for comment.
