Johnson & Johnson Ordered to Pay $750 Million in NJ Talc Case, Reuters Reports

--A jury in New Jersey ordered Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) to
pay $750 million in punitive damages to a group of people who said
they used the company's baby powder and later got cancer, Reuters
reported Thursday.
--A spokeswoman for Johnson & Johnson couldn't immediately
comment on the verdict, the report said.
--Following the verdict, a judge indicated the award may be
reduced to $186.5 million in accordance with state law, the report
said.
