Deere & Co. said it is enhancing its diagnostic tools for its agricultural and construction machinery and expanding access to the company's subscription troubleshooting service by making it available for purchase online to independent repair shops and directly to customers.

Beginning in May, the company said it will give customers and independent repair shops in the U.S. the ability to purchase its Customer Service ADVISOR product directly through JohnDeereStore.com.

Customer Service ADVISOR, a digital database of technical manuals and other repair tools, is only currently available through John Deere dealerships, the company said.

"We hope John Deere customers are pleased about the expanded access to diagnostic information they will get with Customer Service ADVISOR available in the online store," Deere & Co. Director of Aftermarket & Customer Support Denver Caldwell said. "And we're even more excited about what's in the pipeline regarding repair."

The company also said that in 2023, it will roll out new diagnostic services that include a mobile device interface, and the ability to download software updates directly to some John Deere equipment with 4G connections.
