Turk Hava Yollari AO (THYAO.IS), commonly known as Turkish
Airlines, has signed a compensation agreement with Boeing Co. (BA)
over losses caused by the 737 MAX crisis, according to a statement
sent to the Istanbul Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
The undisclosed compensation will cover certain losses due to
the grounding of the aircraft and undelivered planes, the Turkish
national flag carrier said.
In March, Turkish Airlines had to ground 12 737 MAX planes that
formed part of its fleet following two fatal crashes involving the
U.S. plane maker's best-selling jet that claimed the lives of 346
people.
