SRS TruMedia Audio Technology Suite Overwhelmingly Preferred During International Mobile Phone Research Studies

the SRS TruMedia™ audio enhancement technology suite for mobile
phones was overwhelmingly favored by consumers over the competing
Dolby® Mobile audio suite during two independent blind product
comparison studies conducted simultaneously in the United States
and Japan in September 2010.

Key consumer findings indicated that:
In the U.S.:•85-percent of consumers preferred TruMedia
for overall audio quality•86-percent of consumers preferred

In Japan:•79-percent of consumers preferred TruMedia for

To ensure a fair and merit-based performance comparison, 3rd
party research groups Assistance in Marketing (U.S.) and Media
Interactive (Japan) used two identical LG Chocolate Touch VX8575
mobile phones at each test station. One phone featured SRS TruMedia
while the other phone featured Dolby Mobile. Each phone had the
identical music/songs preloaded, and over one-hundred respondents
in each study were asked to blindly consider which phone delivered
the best music experience.
