Shoe Carnival Declares Quarterly and Special Dividend

Shoe Carnival, Inc. (NASDAQ:SCVL) a leading retailer of
value-priced footwear and accessories, announced today that its
Board of Directors has approved the payment of a quarterly cash
dividend and a special cash dividend.
The quarterly cash dividend of $0.05 per share and the special
cash dividend of $1.00 per share will be paid on December 28, 2012,
to shareholders of record as of the close of business on December
17, 2012.

value through the payment of both a quarterly and a special cash
dividend, which reflects the strength of our balance sheet and our

Future declarations of dividends are subject to approval of the
Board of Directors and will depend on the Company's results of
operations, financial condition, business conditions and other
factors deemed relevant by the Board of Directors.
