Pacer Announces Executive Management Changes

Pacer International (Nasdaq: PACR), the North American freight
transportation and logistics services provider, announced changes
to its executive management team that will further facilitate its
ongoing transformation from primarily a wholesale focus to a
direct-to-customer integrated services model.
Pacer has made the following appointments:
Mike Clark will be joining Pacer as executive vice
president, capacity planning, in mid-July and will report directly
to Dan Avramovich, chairman and CEO. Mike will coordinate all Pacer
capacity requirements including rail, truck, air, and ocean working
with the respective lines of business. In addition, he will also
assume responsibility for the Highway Brokerage and Supply Chain
Services groups. Mike most recently was executive vice president,
operations for Panther Expedited Services in Seville, OH, and
previously held leadership positions with Exel, Inc., Shiplogix,
and FedEx. We look forward to welcoming Mike and adding his strong
transportation and operational leadership to the Pacer team. Peter
Mettra, executive vice president, transportation procurement, will
be leaving Pacer in August. Until his departure he will be
assisting with the transition. We thank Peter for his dedicated
service and diligent work in helping to build our rail carrier
relationships.
Val Noel, executive vice president, street operations
will assume all intermodal and field operations responsibility in
his new role as executive vice president, field operations, and
will report directly to Dan Avramovich, effective July 2. Peter
Baumhefner, executive vice president, operations, Pacer Stacktrain,
will be leaving Pacer in July. Until his departure Peter will
provide transitional assistance. We thank Peter for his leadership,
and the spirit of innovation he brought to Pacer and the intermodal
industry.
Bob Sloan, vice president yield and network management,
will assume the responsibility of the Network Management team in
addition to his current responsibilities of Yield Management and
Operational Reporting. Doug Matthew, executive vice president,
network management, will be leaving the Company in July. Doug will
continue to support the Equipment Strategy and Planning team until
his departure. We thank Doug for his significant contributions in
the development of Pacer’s industry leading intermodal network and
equipment fleet.
Joe Doherty, executive vice president, investor relations
and treasurer, will be leaving the Company in August. Joe will be
assisting in the transition of his responsibilities. We thank Joe
for his service and contributions to Pacer’s financial team. On an
interim basis John Hafferty, chief financial officer, will assume
responsibilities for investor relations and Mike Gordon, vice
president, corporate controller, will assume interim responsibility
for treasury.
