FORT WORTH, Texas, June 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System II (JHMCS II), an upgraded
and improved version of the classic JHMCS and the world's first
high definition, color, smart-visor system that operates in both
day and night mode, will be making its debut at the Paris Air Show
in Hall 3, Booth E111 from June
17-21.
"JHMCS II is more intelligent, more capable and more
affordable," said Mark Hodge, Vice
President Business Development of Elbit Systems of America, LLC,
"We worked alongside warfighters to create a superior system that
improves information access for the flight crew."
The JHMCS product line has evolved to be considered the best,
field-proven technology available in providing the pilot with
intelligent vision. For over 15 years, the JHMCS has been a
combat-proven helmet-mounted display for fixed-wing aircraft,
including F/A-18, F-15, and the F-16.
The JHMCS II product family has been developed to meet the needs
of the modern military aircrew and provide a superior level of
situational awareness. Flight crews fly JHMCS around the world and
during combat operations. "Pilots flying with JHMCS II will have a
decided advantage when they observe, orient, decide and act," said
Hodge.

About JHMCS II
JHMCS II is a low cost, low integration helmet mounted display
(HMD) solution designed for new aircraft installation and as an
upgrade / ECP enhancement solution for aircraft already equipped
with JHMCS. Both of these solutions provide visor projected color
video & symbology in a well-balanced lightweight HMD and
provide market leading capabilities in both day and night
environments. There are two versions of the JHMCS II product line,
Digital JHMCS and JHMCS II: For existing aircraft equipped with
JHMCS classic, Digital JHMCS is an economical but significant
upgrade. Using many of the existing components, and requiring no
software changes, Digital JHMCS has the "all new" aspects of JHMCS
II, and the benefits it brings, with the added benefit of very easy
retrofit. Digital JHMCS II is a simple 'plug and play' upgrade
solution for the over 6000 JHMCS solutions already delivered. JHMCS
II provides a new optical-inertial tracker and replaces the JHMCS
subsystems with a lightweight Aircraft Interface Unit (ACIU). JHMCS
II works with any aircraft and any aircraft architecture.
Both Digital JHMCS and JHMCS II share common design attributes that
are new and improved over classic JHMCS.
