Danish Krone Rises To 1-week High Against US Dollar

The Denmark currency surged higher against the US dollar during
early trading on Thursday. The Danish krone advanced to a weekly
high of 4.9173 versus the greenback before leveling off around 5:45
am ET and this may be compared to 4.9468 hit late New York
Wednesday.
The krone is presently worth 4.9194 versus the buck and a move
above the 4.912 resistance may push the domestic unit to its
highest level in nearly 16 months.
The Danish krone is pegged to the euro since January 1, 1999.
Prior to the introduction of the euro, the Danish Krone was pegged
to the German Mark. The reference rate for the euro-krone pair is
at 7.4603.
