Grant Wilson, a senior credit-trading executive at Goldman Sachs
Group Inc., in London, has joined Etrading Software Ltd., the
consultancy working on a new network for bond traders called
"Neptune."
Mr. Wilson started April 2, according to people familiar with
the matter, and will be focused on a series of projects, including
Neptune, which is aiming to give traders an alternative channel to
Bloomberg LP terminals for negotiating their trades.
Neptune is backed by a group of 12 banks, including Goldman,
HSBC Holdings Inc. and J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., as earlier
reported in The Wall Street Journal.
The network aims to become a one-stop destination for finding
buyers and sellers of corporate bonds in a world already flooded
with more than two dozen electronic platforms.
The banks agreed late last year to pay for the first phase of
consultancy work on the scope of the Neptune project. AXA
Investment Managers and Schroders PLC are also involved in the
project, along with about at least a dozen other investors.
At Goldman, Mr. Wilson was an executive director focused on
credit markets and electronic trading technology in Europe. A
Goldman spokesman declined to comment on his departure.
