DOW JONES NEWSWIRES
The following table lists unplanned and planned production
outages at U.S. refineries as reported by Dow Jones Newswires. The
information is compiled from both official and unofficial refining
sources and doesn't purport to be a comprehensive list.
ExxonMobil's (XOM) Beaumont, Texas, refinery experienced a small
fire in a processing area Wednesday. It was extinguished quickly
and the refinery continued to operate, a company representative
said.
ExxonMobil Wednesday reported a flaring event at its Torrance,
California, refinery to state environmental regulators; the cause
of the release was unknown, the filing said.
LyondellBasell (LYB, LYB.B) said Tuesday a small fire broke out
at its Houston refinery, but caused no major damage. It was
extinguished within 20 minutes; there were no injuries. Operations
at the plant had just returned to normal Monday, after a power
outage caused a loss of steam forcing the shutdown of all process
units.
Irving Oil Tuesday said all units at its Saint John refinery in
New Brunswick, Canada, are back on line following extensive
turnaround maintenance that began in late September. The refinery
exports about 175,000 barrels of finished product to the U.S. a day
accounting for about 19% of U.S. gasoline imports.
