The following table lists unplanned and planned production outages at U.S. refineries as reported by Dow Jones Newswires. The information is compiled from both official and unofficial refining sources and doesn't purport to be a comprehensive list.

ExxonMobil (XOM) said Wednesday that operations at its Chalmette, La., refinery are nearing normal following a leak of a mixture of compressed gas and hydrogen sulfide and the death of a contract worker last week. It is not clear whether the worker died from exposure to the leak or had a previous medical condition. Production was cut while repairs to the leak were being made.

Hovensa (HES) said Wednesday that operations at its 145,000-barrels-a-day FCCU were nearing normal after shutting down as a precaution following a weather-related electrical failure on Oct. 6. The unit was restarted on Oct. 8.

BP PLC (BP) will begin about seven days of planned flaring activity at its Carson, Calif., refinery Wednesday morning, according to a filing with state environmental regulators. The report to Calif. state environmental regulators did not specify what unit, or units, are involved with the flaring.

Tesoro Corp. (TSO) Tuesday notified California state environmental regulators of a flaring event planned at its Los Angeles-area oil refinery in Wilmington. The flaring, scheduled to begin at around 5 a.m. PDT Thursday, isn't due to an equipment breakdown, the filing to Calif. state environmental regulators said. The event is scheduled to end just before midnight on Friday. The report didn't specify what unit, or units, are involved with the flaring.

Enbridge Inc. (ENB, ENB.T) said Monday that its crude oil delivery pipeline, Line 6A, will operate at reduced rates for an indefinite period of time to facilitate further integrity inspections along the span. Line 6A services ExxonMobil's Joliet, Illinois, refinery and Citgo's refinery in Lemont, Illinois.
