Explanation of Responses:

1. Stock Equivalent Units accrued through Nordson's Directors' Deferred Compensation Plan. At the time of distributions, stock equivalent units convert to common shares on a one-for-one basis.

2. On February 1, 2024, the Company awarded 513 Restricted Share Units as the equity portion of the reporting person's annual non-employee director compensation, pro-rated to reflect his appointment date, and valued at the prior 30-day average closing stock price of $254.76 per share. The Restricted Share Units vest on January 31, 2025 unless, with certain exceptions, the reporting person ceases to be a director prior to the vesting date.
