With 84% Of Gym Goers Admitting To Running
Errands Within Two Hours Of Working Out, The New Campaign Educates
Folks That If It’s Fabric, Febreze It
More and more Americans are getting serious about upping their
fitness but, because we’re busier than ever, we have to get
creative to cram our workout (along with everything else) into our
day. In fact, 84% of gym goers admit to running errands within two
hours of working out* - but we forget that the smells from our
sweat sessions go where we go long after we’ve left the locker
room. For the millions who don’t have time to immediately change
and wash their gear after fitness activities, Febreze is launching
the #FebrezeYourGear campaign. The program highlights that – from
sneakers to sweatbands - if it’s fabric, Febreze it. Simply spray
Febreze Fabric Refresher on fitness gear** to safely and
effectively clean away workout odors and ensure that gym stinks
stay where they belong - at the gym!

As part of the #FebrezeYourGear campaign, Febreze just released
its new Activity Index*** that found the nation’s top 20
metropolitan areas with the highest activity levels, including San
Francisco, Seattle, Minneapolis, Denver, Miami, Los Angeles and New
York. To show folks in these cities and across the country how easy
– and essential – it is to #FebrezeYourGear post-workout, Febreze
has partnered with multi-platinum recording artist, actress and
fitness enthusiast, Jordin Sparks. As a woman who wears many hats,
Jordin knows a thing or two about being time-crunched and cramming
so many things into her day. And as a fitness buff, she also knows
about the odors that can linger on workout gear long after you
leave the gym floor.
“Becoming a mom has certainly made my health and wellness an
even bigger priority so I try my hardest to squeeze in a workout
when I can,” said Jordin Sparks. “With so many things to fit into
not only my schedule but also my family's schedule, sometimes I
don't have the ability to change my gear after I hit the gym or
yoga. I love having the peace of mind that Febreze Fabric Refresher
will safely eliminate not only the post workout stinks but also
those everyday odors too, providing me and my family with a safe,
fresh smelling environment no matter where in the world we
are!”
To launch the #FebrezeYourGear campaign, Jordin joined Febreze
to host a special workout class at AKT fitness studio in New York
City. Attendees got to work up a sweat while Jordin shared her gym
bag essentials (including Febreze Fabric Refresher) as well as her
go-to tips for staying fit.
Not in New York City? Don’t sweat it. Consumers can go to
designated fitness studios in select active cities across the
country to receive free samples of Febreze Fabric Refresher (while
supplies last). Participating gyms include:
- Wednesday, November 14: CruBox in Los
Angeles (8453 Melrose Ave, West Hollywood, CA 90069)
- Thursday, November 15: Orangetheory
Fitness in Denver (450 E. 17th Ave., Unit 128 Denver, CO,
80203)
- Thursday, November 15: CycleBar in
Minneapolis (2927 Girard Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55408)
- Thursday, November 15: CycleBar in
Atlanta (3280 Peachtree Rd NE #155, Atlanta, GA 30305)
“We are excited to launch the #FebrezeYourGear campaign
alongside Jordin Sparks and show consumers that the last thing they
lift at the gym should be a bottle of Febreze,” said Martin
Hettich, Vice President Home Care North America & Brand
Franchise Leader Global Air Care at Procter & Gamble. “We are
also quite ‘pumped’ to hit the road and get Fabric Refresher into
the hands of gym goers in some of the most active cities – but no
matter where folks are located – Febreze Fabric Refresher has them
covered to clean away odors post-workout.”
Febreze Fabric Refresher with OdorClearTM Technology eliminates
odors in two simple ways. It seeks out tough odors and then cleans
them away by deactivating and replacing them with a light, fresh
scent. Post-workout, simply spray Febreze Fabric Refresher on your
gym clothing, sneakers and gear until completely damp to safely and
effectively clean away workout odors.
Fans can join in the conversation by using the hashtag

***The Febreze Activity Index was created by Wakefield Research
(www.wakefieldresearch.com) using publicly available data. Each of
the 20 metropolitan areas included in the study were assessed
across five variables including: physical activity; aerobic
activity; the percentage of workers who commute to work by biking
or walking; the number of gyms per capita; and the number of
fitness instructors per 1,000 jobs. Data was collected between
September 27 and October 10, 2018.
