UK manufacturing PMI unexpectedly rose in November
In the UK, the preliminary manufacturing PMI unexpectedly advanced to a level of 58.20 in November, compared to a level of 57.80 in the previous month. Markets were expecting the manufacturing PMI to record a drop to a level of 57.30.
UK services PMI fell less than expected in November
In the UK, the flash services PMI registered a drop to 58.60 in November, compared to a level of 59.10 in the prior month. Markets were expecting the services PMI to record a drop to 58.50.
Euro-zone manufacturing PMI unexpectedly rose in November
In the Euro-zone, the preliminary manufacturing PMI recorded an unexpected rise to a level of 58.60 in November, compared to a reading of 58.30 in the prior month. Markets were expecting the manufacturing PMI to record a drop to a level of 57.30.
German manufacturing PMI dropped less than expected in November
In Germany, the flash manufacturing PMI registered a drop to 57.60 in November, compared to a reading of 57.80 in the previous month. Markets had anticipated the manufacturing PMI to fall to 56.90.
US Markit manufacturing PMI rose more than expected in November
In the US, the manufacturing PMI rose to a level of 59.10 in November, compared to a reading of 58.40 in the previous month. Markets were expecting the manufacturing PMI to record an advance to 59.00.
