On August 17, 2017, Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison notified Cobalt International Energy, Inc. (the
Company
) of her resignation
from the Board of Directors (
Board
) of the Company, effective immediately. Senator Hutchison had been a member of the Board since 2013. Her decision to resign is a result of her recent appointment as the United States
Ambassador to NATO and was not the result of any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Companys operations, policies or practices.
