Mellon has been appointed trustee, registrar and paying agent for
Cisco Systems, Inc.'s $4 billion bond issue, which will be used to
fund acquisitions, buy back stock and retire existing debt. In its
role, The Bank of New York Mellon will provide a variety of
services for the debt issue, including processing principal and
interest payments and maintaining noteholder records. "This
