                     APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER


White Young Green Plc ('WYG'), consultant to the built, natural and social
environment today announces the appointment of Lawrie Haynes as Chief Executive
Officer (CEO) with effect from 1 July 2007 when John Purvis steps down from that
position prior to retiring on his 60th birthday in October of this year.

Lawrie Haynes brings with him a wealth of management experience in both the
public and private sectors. Until recently, he was Chief Executive of British
Nuclear Group and a Main Board Director of BNFL plc. He was previously Chief
Executive of the Highways Agency and Group Managing Director (Telecoms) of
Lattice Group plc. Lawrie has had recent relevant experience in the energy and
transportation sectors, both of which have been identified as areas of growth
for the Group. Lawrie will join the Board on 18 June 2007 and take up the post
of Chief Executive from 1 July 2007.


Chairman Peter Wood commented:
