The U.K. Takeover Panel said Wednesday that unless the Panel Executive consents otherwise, Centrica PLC (CNA.LN) must by 1600 GMT on July 13, either announce a firm intention to make an offer for Venture Production PLC (VPC.LN) under Rule 2.5 of the Code or announce that it does not intend to make an offer for Venture.
