Global Special Opportunities Trust Plc (the "Company") 
 
Portfolio valuations 
 
The Board of Global Special Opportunities Trust Plc have been informed by its 
Investment Adviser, RENN Capital Group, that the Company may be unable to 
realise certain of its illiquid investments before its planned wind up date of 
31 May 2011. In that event their realisation would be undertaken by the 
Liquidator and the outcome would be uncertain. 
 
The Board has engaged with its advisers to review the value of these 
investments, which may have a material and adverse impact on the Company's net 
asset value ("NAV") and have therefore suspended all NAV announcements until 
such time as this review has been completed. 
 
The Board is also taking advice on the implications of this information upon 
the presentation of the Annual Report for the year ending 31 May 2010. 
 
A further announcement will be made in due course.
