                    Result of Extraordinary General Meeting



Taylor Woodrow is pleased to announce that at today's Extraordinary General
Meeting its shareholders overwhelmingly approved the resolution relating to
the recommended Offer by ABN AMRO on behalf of Taylor Woodrow for Bryant
announced on 22nd January, 2001.

The first closing date of the Offer is 3.00 p.m. on Friday, 16th February,
2001.
