                                 CONTRACT GAIN

Total  Systems  plc,  the supplier of software products and  services  to  the
Financial Services markets, announces that THE CARAVAN CLUB LIMITED, the  UK's
premier  organisation  for caravanners, has chosen ULTIMA,  Total's  Insurance
System.

The  contract,  which is "substantial", was won after a thorough  and  lengthy
selection process. This contract gain follows the award announced in July of a
major  order  from Dixons Group PLC, the nationwide retailer,  which  selected
ULTIMA for their Mastercare and Coverplan Service Agreements.

ULTIMA   was  chosen  by  the  Caravan  Club  because  of  its  functionality,
flexibility,  and  the  speed with which ULTIMA allows end  users  to  quickly
handle changes and deliver new products across many lines of business.

ULTIMA has been in use in the General Insurance market since 1994, where it is
currently  supporting  over 20 lines of business including  products  such  as
motor, household, healthcare, travel insurance and warranty.

More  recently,  ULTIMA has been sold into telephone call-centre  environments
for  organisations  where insurance is but one of the  services  offered,  the
Caravan Club being one such operation.

Commenting  on  the  new contract, Ian Hamilton, Operation Director  of  Total
Systems said: "It is very pleasing to see ULTIMA, with its full graphical user
interface  being  operated in environments alongside other systems,  thus  re-
enforcing  Total  Systems'  view  of  its inherent  flexibility  and  ease  of
integration. Initially, ULTIMA will support the Caravan Club's caravan, annual
travel  and  public liability insurance. It is designed to assist the  Caravan
Club  in constantly striving to improve service to its members and to increase
its penetration of the highly competitive annual travel insurance market."

ULTIMA,  powered by Progress Software, will run on the Caravan Club's  Hewlett
Packard computers using the HP/UX operating system.
