Transaction in own shares

Tesco PLC (the "Company") announces that on 13 October 2022 it has purchased, in accordance with the authority granted by shareholders at the 2022 Annual General Meeting of the Company, the following number of ordinary shares of 6 1/3 pence pursuant to its previously announced up to GBP750 million share buyback programme.

The purchased shares will be cancelled.
