DRINGS OF BATH PLC - BOARD APPOINTMENT


Drings of Bath PLC announces the appointment of Mr Peter Frederick Burridge as
a non-executive Director with effect from 12th September 1997.  Mr Burridge,
aged 53 has held one previous directorship in the last 5 years, namely Oxford
Preservation Trust.  He has no unspent convictions in relation to indictable
offences, has not been declared bankrupt, nor has he been a director of any
company which during his time as a director or, within the 12 months following
his resignation as a director has gone into receivership or liquidation, nor
has he been subject to any public criticisms by statutory or regulatory
bodies.

In addition Mr Burridges wife, Mrs Isabelle Burridge has a beneficial interest
in 300,000 Ordinary Shares of 0.2p each in the company, which represents 0.4%
of the issued Ordinary Share Capital.
