PREMIER HIGH INCOME TRUST PLC

The Company announces that, further to the announcement made on 16 June 2005
and subject to the winding-up proposals being approved by shareholders at the
Extraordinary General Meeting to be held on 30 June 2005, it can now confirm
that a Final Interim Dividend of 1.625p per Ordinary share will be payable on
30 June 2005 to the holders of Ordinary shares on the register at 24 June 2005.
