Pacific Alliance Asia Opportunity Fund Limited ("PAX" or the "Company") (AIM: PAX), the closed-end investment company admitted to trading on AIM, today announces the following dealings in the Company.

The Company has been informed on 20 October 2014 that Mr. Anthony Miller, a director of the Company, purchased 30,000 of the Company's ordinary shares at an average price of US$1.5525 per share on 17 October 2014.

As a result of the transaction, Mr. Miller is directly interested in 1,052,054 of the Company's ordinary shares representing 1.11 per cent. of the Company's total voting rights, and indirectly interested in 8,628,563 of the Company's ordinary shares representing 9.14 per cent. of the Company's voting rights held by Pacific Alliance Investment Management Limited, the Company's investment manager and its affiliates and, indirectly interested in, 25,711,556 of the Company's ordinary shares representing 27.23 per cent. of the Company's total voting rights held by Pacific Alliance Asia Opportunity Fund L.P.
