Lopex plc ("the Company")

Result of AGM

At the Company's Annual General Meeting held today, all of the proposed
resolutions were duly passed with the exception of resolution 10 and
resolution 11, which were defeated on a poll.

Of the votes cast in respect of resolution 10, 32.7 per cent. were in favour
and 67.3 per cent. were against.  Resolution 10 which was proposed as an
ordinary resolution stated:

"That subject to and in accordance with Article 6 of the Articles of
Association, the directors be and are hereby authorised to allot relevant
securities with an aggregate nominal value not exceeding #827,570.80, such
authority to be in substitution for and to replace the existing authority
granted by ordinary resolution on 18 May 1998, which existing authority is
hereby revoked."

Of the votes cast in respect of resolution 11, 33.0 per cent. were in favour
and 67.0 per cent. were against.  Resolution 11 which was proposed as a
special resolution stated:

"That subject to and in accordance with Article 7 of the Articles of
Association, the directors be and are hereby empowered to allot equity
securities for cash as if Section 89(1) of the Companies Act 1985 did not
apply to such allotment provided that such power be limited:

(i)  to the allotment of equity securities pursuant to sub-paragraph (1)(a) of
Article 7; and
(ii)  to the allotment of equity securities having an aggregate nominal amount
not exceeding #136,456.20;
and shall expire at the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting of the
company in 2000 or on 31 July 2000, whichever is the earlier."
