RETURN OF VALUE TO SHAREHOLDERS - RESULTS OF COURT MEETING AND EXTRAORDINARY 
GENERAL MEETING


Luminar plc ("Luminar") is pleased to announce that at the Court Meeting and the
Extraordinary General Meeting held earlier today, shareholders of Luminar
approved the resolutions relating to the proposed return of approximately #41
million of value to shareholders by way of a Scheme of Arrangement (the
"Return").


The expected timetable for the Return is as previously announced.  Subject tothe
Court sanctioning the Scheme at a hearing expected to take place on 18 October
2007, dealings in the New Ordinary Shares and New Luminar Warrants of Luminar
Group Holdings plc are expected to commence on 19 October 2007.


Copies of the special resolution passed at the Extraordinary General Meeting of
Luminar are available for inspection by the public at the UK Listing Authority's
Document Viewing Facility which is situated at: Financial Services Authority, 25

during normal business hours on any weekday (except public holidays).


Defined terms used in this announcement have the same meanings as in the scheme
circular posted to Luminar shareholders on 4 September 2007.
