                              ISSUE OF NEW SHARES


Libertas Capital Group plc (AIM: LBR), the financial services firm, announces
that 2,852,333 new shares have been issued as a result of the exercise by some
employees of their rights over awards made under the Libertas Capital Group plc
Share Incentive Plan. The total number of shares in issue amounts to 46,784,430
of which 4,153,108 shares are held in Treasury. Thus the total number of
ordinary shares with voting rights is 42,631,322 ordinary shares.

As a result Mr H Okereke, a Director of the Company, is interested in 6,581,795
ordinary shares and Mr F Dullaghan, a Director of the Company, is interested in
6,098,306 ordinary shares, representing 15.44% and 14.30% of the total voting
rights respectively.

Application for the admission of the 2,852,333 Libertas Capital new ordinary
shares for trading on AIM had been submitted and dealings are expected to
commence on 21 May 2007.
