                              ISSUE OF NEW SHARES


Libertas Capital Group plc ( "Libertas Capital", AIM: LBR), the financial
services firm, announces that 291,837 new shares have been issued as a result of
the exercise by some employees of their rights over awards made under the
Libertas Capital Group plc Share Incentive Plan. The total number of ordinary
shares in issue amounts to 43,839,499 of which 3,662,800 shares are held in
Treasury.

Application for the admission of the 291,837 Libertas Capital new ordinary
shares for trading on AIM has been submitted and dealings are expected to
commence on 21 December 2006.
