                              ISSUE OF NEW SHARES


Libertas Capital Group plc (AIM: LBR), the financial services firm, announces
that 1,340,816 new shares have been issued as a result of the exercise by some
employees of their rights over awards made under the Libertas Capital Group plc
Share Incentive Plan. The total number of ordinary shares in issue amounts to
43,547,662.


Application for the admission of the 1,340,816 Libertas Capital new ordinary
shares for trading on AIM has been submitted and dealings are expected to
commence on 20 September 2006.
