NIMU DRILLING UNDERWAY
LONDON - 28 May 2008
Nimu Copper Project 6,400m drill programme commences
The Company is pleased to confirm that the summer drilling campaign is now
underway following the completion of preparatory geological work and upgrading
of the existing road access.
The focus will be on delineation drilling at the Guqing area within the
Gangjiang Licence, which is one of seven licences within the overall Nimu
Project.
The key area to be drilled in Guqing is a 400m x 200m zone of mineralisation
where extensive surface mineralisation was identified by trenching (see
announcement 12 February 2007). This area was then tested by two scout drill
holes during the 2007 field season and copper mineralisation was found to
exceed 300 metres in depth from the surface (announced on 30 August 2007).
Drilling will be by a Longyear LF70 drill rig operated by Sichuan Huefeng
Drilling Company. The Nimu drill programme is expected to be approximately
6,400 metres of diamond drilling.
