                         NIMU BUSINESS LICENCE GRANTED                         

LONDON - 10 December 2007 - Central China Goldfields plc (AIM: GGG) is pleased
to announce that the Company has received the Business Licence for Lhasa Tian
Li Ltd. ("Tian Li"). Tian Li is a Chinese registered company which is the Joint
Venture vehicle established by the Sichuan Bureau of Metallurgy and Geological
Exploration ("SBMGE") and Chengdu Zhong Cheng Ltd. ("CZC") over the Nimu Copper
- Molybdenum Project.

The Company, through its subsidiary CCG Copper Limited, a BVI registered
company, has now acquired the entire share capital of CZC for nominal
consideration together with the recently acquired Business Licence.

CZC has the right to own 75% of Tian Li by contributing RMB 216 million (about
US$ 27 million) over six years. The Company has contributed approximately US$ 3
million to date.

So far, three Exploration Licenses have been transferred to Tian Li. The
Company and its partner the SBMGE are in the process of transferring the
remaining four Exploration Licences at the Nimu Project from the SBMGE to Tian
Li.
