                             Eleco plc (the 'Company') 

                              Director Shareholding  

The Company was notified today, in accordance with the provisions of section
198-202 of the Companies Act 1985, that Mr. J H B Ketteley, a director of the
Company, purchased 6,532 shares in the Company following an exercise of options
under the Company's Sharesave Scheme, at an option price of 31p, on 27 March
2006.

Mr Ketteley's beneficial interest in the Company has increased, following this
transaction, to 5,709,727 ordinary shares, representing 11.63 per cent. of the
issued ordinary share capital of the Company.
