                          Compact Power Holdings plc:

         Agreement signed with Spanish environmental engineering group.


Compact Power Holdings plc ("Compact Power"), the Bristol based energy from
waste technology company, is pleased to announce that it has signed a new
co-operation agreement with Spain's EMTE Medio Ambiente y Energia S.L., the
environmental subsidiary of Barcelona-based engineering group EMTE.


The agreement which is for an initial period of three years will enable Compact
Power to develop projects in energy and environmental engineering in Spain and
elsewhere. Projects already in the pipeline include the treatment of municipal
solid waste in Andalucia and automobile shredder residue in Catalonia.
