DISCLOSABLE INTEREST

In  accordance with section 198 of the Companies Act 1985
(as  amended) Standard Life Investments Limited  notified
the  company on 16 May 2000 that on behalf of its client,
Standard  Life  Group,  it has a beneficial  interest  in
435,000  ordinary shares representing 3.18 per  cent.  of
the issued share capital of the company. These shares are
registered in the name of Stanlife Nominees Limited.

In  addition, Norwich Union Investment Management Limited
notified  the  company on the 15 May 2000, in  accordance
with  section 198 of the Companies Act 1985 (as amended),
that  on  behalf  of  Norwich  Union  Group,  it  has   a
beneficial   interest   in  1,160,000   ordinary   shares
representing  8.49 per cent. of the issued share  capital
of  the company. These shares are registered in the  name
of Norwich Union Life & Pensions B A/c.
