Bandt plc - Disclosure of Interest

Further to the announcement made yesterday that Mercury
Asset Management no longer has a notifiable interest in the
issued share capital of Bandt plc.  The announcement also
includes Merrill Lynch & Co Inc. and its related companies,
which are holding companies of Mercury Asset Management, and
therefore also no longer have a notifiable interest in the
issued share capital of Bandt plc.
