The Company wishes to confirm that Mr Michael Craig Stoddart retired as a 
Bullough plc director at the company's AGM, held on the 24 May 2002. Mr Stoddart
had served on the board for 34 years, and on behalf of the board I would like to 
thank him for his valued support and guidance over that period.
