COMPLETION OF ACQUISTION OF INDIRECT RESIDENTIAL TELECOMMUNICATIONS CUSTOMER
BASE OF ATLANTIC

London, 9th August 2001 - Further to the announcement on the 3rd August 2001,
Affinity Wireless Limited, a subsidiary of Affinity Internet Holdings Plc
("Affinity" or the "Company"), is pleased to announce the completion of the
acquisition of assets of the UK indirect residential telecommunications
customer base of Atlantic Telecommunications Ltd ("Atlantic"), a wholly owned
subsidiary of Atlantic Telecom Group plc.

Commenting on the announcement, Wayne Lochner, CEO of Affinity, said:

"The acquisition will increase Affinity's fixed line subscriber base by around
124,000 residential customers. It gives us further significant revenues and
critical mass in our telecom and billing businesses without the need for
additional investment and resources.

We can support this new customer base with our existing structure and
services, whilst enhancing our bottom line performance. It's a good deal all
round."
